Plant Based Single Origin-Spice
Long ago our ancestors used spices to heal the body and purify the mind. Today the rave is all about medicinal benefits of spices in cooking and beauty.
Cinnamon is one of the world's most popular spices, sprinkled on pancakes, apple pies, lattes, chai, and even salmon, yes salmon- check out my blog for the recipe. Today, cinnamon is being studied for its antibacterial and antioxidant properties it’s shown to help with insulin sensitivity and glucose transport while decreasing inflammation.
Complex and fragrant, with a citrus overtone and rich buff color. Native to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and still grown there today, this is the preferred cinnamon in European kitchens. We refer to this as “true” cinnamon because that is exactly what it is, the bark of a cinnamon tree. Here, in the States, what we know as cinnamon is the bark of a cassia tree. Our ground Ceylon cinnamon powder is ideal for baking, or for dusting across coffee, fresh fruit, or pastries.
Comes in our signature airtight tin, which measures 2-1/2 inches in diameter and 1-3/4 inches in height.
